Psalm 46:10

God rarely roars.
He whispers
like October wind,
like wood smoke in the night,

like a lover, intimate in the morning,
or a child with a secret,

there only when we stop,
and listen.

Psalm 46:10 reads “Be still, and know that I am God.”. It is my favorite verse in the entire bible. Sometimes I wish God would roar, but mostly I am glad he whispers. I think his roaring would be overwhelming.
