Just a few words from our sponsor
If any one read your journal,
they would know you are mad,
a creature of rants and uncommon tears,
lost in the wide world, lost
in the world you have created.
No doubt they would worry
and wonder if their children and hearts
could be trusted with you,
fearful for some explosion
of words and Alice in Wonderland
nonsense, as if
it were somehow contagious,
unaware that these words you write
in fits each day are a prayer,
and somehow God not only leaves you free,
but encourages you.

The picture is of one of my journals, sitting on my sofa. Not art, certainly, but real. You can click on it for a larger version if you like.
I’ve been a journaler for a long time. Today, I use a mix of hand written journals, like the one in the photograph, and software, which allows me to do a lot of things that I can’t do in a paper journal. In my case, I use LifeJournal 3, about whom I am a bit evangelistic!
