A special thanks to McCartee’s Barn Antiques and Fine Art in Salem, NY. They are exhibiting a selection of my paintings, all recent works.  If you don’t know McCartee’s, it’s absolutely worth a trip, and a visit.  Sue and Bill Clary’s shop is a destination point for many people in the region who are looking for antiques and fine art. Her shop has expanded, growing from the barn in the back, to the entire downstairs of her house, and now, on line as well.  It is a place chock full of charm and warmth as well a wonderful things and art by many of the finest artists in the area.

What I like about settings like McCartee’s, is that you get to see art in a more home-like setting. In this setting, paintings really show themselves and how they bring life and color to a real-life decor in a way that you don’t get in an gallery. Oddly, even though there are so many other things around them, they “pop” and demonstrate how they bring life and color to even the most traditional home.
