Quiet

There’s a real person in here,
hard as it might be to imagine it,
as invisible as I may appear,
or as forgettable, I live

in a world at least as passionate at yours,
just not as loud.

About this poem

Not long ago I read a book titled “Quiet” – about introverts and their importance and place in this world. It resonates with me because I am one. Quiet, but only to those who are too busy talking to listen.
