Dancing on Sand
Ravenous, I devour
the snippets of your mind,
the small bits and pieces
you toss over the fence,
all true, but torn from their context,
a crazy puzzle
where the picture always changes,
tantalizing, tempting, a lesson
in dancing
on shifting sands.
About this poem.
We all know people like this in our lives, mercurial, fascinating, maddening. Easy to love. Easy to hate. But never dull.
