Poem: Hide and Seek

drawers

Hide and Seek

It is in here somewhere,
or so I am promised, though
it seems to play hide and seek, as if

it does not want to be found, as if
there was danger in being seen.

And perhaps there is,
for once seen you may be loved,
or worse, ignored, each
equally dangerous and equally fraught

with possibility.

About this poem.

I am not even sure I know what this one means. But it refused to stay inside, so, here it is. Maybe you can tell ME this time around.

The picture was taken at an antique fair, months ago.
