Poem: Removing

Removing

And when you shed
every lie you dressed in for others,
every inhibition you hid in fear,
every insecurity they chained you with,

then, and only then,
will your beauty shine
and you will find what I already know,
that you are irresistible
beyond words.

About this poem

A love poem, just because I haven’t written one in a while. And this one? It’s about loving ourselves as much as something as simple as my loving someone.

Not that love is ever simple.
