Poem: Packing for the Journey

Ticonderoga stateroom

Packing for the Journey

Pack well.
Choose your baggage wisely.
You can’t carry it all.

You just can’t.
There is just too much
that comes with the years

and you will discover
how much of what you have
you don’t need.

But not until you choose.

About this poem

We rarely need all we think we need. And until we let go of something, there is often no room for something new and wonderful to enter our lives.

Don’t you hate that?

Tom
