Even the Dead Have Stories
Even the dead
have their stories,
their secrets,
as do the angry,
the secretly battered,
the lovers,
the broken, the arrogant,
the ones who seem but only seem, so whole.
Each has a tale
that colors their eyesight,
and bleeds out to others,
their stories mixing like watercolors in the rain.
All of it art.
Some of it true.
About this poem.
OK, this one started with a picture of an Egyptian mummy and the first line, and ended up here, with a close up shot of Monet. Some things you can’t explain.
The mummy will have to wait his turn.

The poem is fantastic, I’m showing a good friend who needs it right now.
And the last line of the “About This Poem” is brilliant.
