Poem: Claim the Sun

Kings Arms Hotel Tintagle

Claim the Sun

Outside the sun is bright
and there are no shadows,
no dark places.

The colors are bright.
Green on the hills.
Rich blue green on the seas.

It is time to leave this place,
to go outside
and claim the sun.

About this poem

The picture was taken in the King’s Arms Hotel in Tintagle, England. It is a beautiful old Victorian Hotel, with a wonderful tea room/restaurant. But it pales in comparison to the cliff walks overlooking the Irish Sea.

Often we live in our own little worlds, beautiful, but no where near as beautiful as the world outside ourselves, where the light lives.
