Lost
You have walked too long in fog,
following too many vague paths,
never finding sunlight,
never quite finding warmth.
The greyness has encrusted itself
on your soul. You feel
colorless and thick
unsure of your compass.

About this poem
I have been in dark places in my life. I have surrendered to them a time or two. Mostly though, I have leaned on my faith and kept working, knowing that was the only path to better times, better places, to light.
I am in a good place these days. But I never forget that feeling. Never.
