Poem: Snow Dragons

Pawlet in winter 2

Snow Dragons

Snow has fallen,
a beautiful interruption of silence,
of schedules disturbed and the sound of geese
flying in the distance.

The animals are fed. and it is time for you
to settle into yourself,
to bare today’s truths and lay them in a line
so you may choose

which dragons
you will battle.

About this poem

I love time alone. Too much of it is dangerous. No, those are not contradictions, just the reality of my life.
