Poem: The Way I Look

IMG_3327

The Way I Look

Yes, my hair, what is left of it, is turning grey,
and my skin looks more like my grandfather’s
than my own.

But my eyes defy age,
refusing to look backwards
or too far inward
when there is so much yet to see
just beyond my view.

About this poem

OK, maybe sometimes I do look inward too much. But mostly, I don’t.
