Poem: Disappearance

BW2

Disappearance

Carry me away.
Slowly.

Fast.

It does not matter.
Just take me to a place
where the world I know does not exist.
Where it is you.
And I.
And the deep blue sky.

About this poem.

This started as a much larger, much more complex, intricate and strange. But there was another simpler, sweeter poem inside, and slowly I whittled away the trash to find this one.

A love poem. A spiritual poem. Because both are true, and somehow, I believe, intertwined.

  1. Very good. I know what you mean about whittling away at a larger piece. I think there is a special artistry about using less words. Although I would be curious as to see how this would have played out as a ” much larger, much more complex, intricate and strange” piece. Great poem
