Poem: Work to be Done

Work to be Done

There is work to be done.
This is your truth,
that no matter what, there is work to be done,
and you will do it.

As you age, the tools you use
become simpler.
The less clutter, the more you can focus
on the work and the why.

Made simple, each step becomes a ritual,
less work than a spiritual event
that fills places inside yourself
you did not realize were empty.

About this poem

More and more I strive for simplicity. Now and then, I find it.

The picture was taken at the Hancock Shaker Villiage.
