Poem: The Beautiful Details

Sea grass

The Beautiful Details

It is easy to imagine nothing.
To miss it all,
each beautiful detail,

The nothingness blinds you.
It dulls the light and you forget
the beautiful details.

You have to work to see them.
Not that they are hiding.
Never that.

It is your own blindness,
overwhelmedness, brokenness, the pain of it all
that turns us inward, away

from the beautiful details.

About this poem.

Inspired by a letter I got today from a friend of mine who fights similar battles to mine.
