Poem: Tiny Things

Tiny Things

You were slow in learning,
In having the beauty of tiny things pointed out,
learning whole worlds live in those small things,
the ones we are gifted, and the ones we make.

It was a lesson in seeing,
and letting go. Of finding more where
there is less.
A discovery less of the world outside
than the one within.

About this poem

Seeing. It’s all in the seeing. Never in the thing itself, in the seeing.

The picture was taken in my studio.
