Poem: The Importance of Dredging.

The Importance of Dredging

Midday in February and the sun
barely warms. Your eyes are shut
and you can hear the barge in the harbor,
the clanking of chains. Men shouting
as they pour out the muck
from the channel’s bottom,
making room for those who travel,
leaving the safe shores
for the deep water beyond.

About this poem.
About the dredging of channels. About the wisdom of well-done therapy.
