Poem: The Essential Work

The Essential Work

It is slow work, removing the armor,
metal plate by metal plate,
the essential work
of winning the war.

About this poem

Taking off the armor. Allowing for vulnerability. It’s the path to so much good. Scary as hell, but…. it works.

Yes, I have been re-reading Brene Brown.

The picture was taken in Worster, Mass.
