Poem: Water Music

Water Music

Stop. Let the waters flow.
Be still. Let the waters flow.
It is time for rest.
It is time to let the world go by
and feel the cool waters.
Let them wash you.
Let them carry your broken parts to the sea.
For you need rest. You need to be a stone
not mattering other than to make water music
and be.

About this poem.

It has been a busy two weeks, and I have been sick, so franticly trying to do all that needed doing in what time and energy I had. But one can’t keep that pace all the time. We need rest, a time when the world does not need us and we can simply be.

The picture is of a nearby creek here in West Pawlet, Vermont.
