Poem: The Light You Bring

The Light You Bring

Even in the darkest spaces
there is light,

even, or maybe because
you have to bring it yourself

About this poem

In the end, I have always had to dig myself out of my darkness. People help. Lovers help. God helps, but I have to wield the shovel.

The picture was taken at the Vanderbilt mansion in Hyde Park, NY.
