Poem: Doors in the House

Doors in the House

One door leads to another,
which leads to another,
which leads, eventually, outside
and back in again
as you realize the house is far larger
than you ever imagined.

About this poem

A poem about the old historic houses I love so much. A poem about the rooms in our lives and where they lead. Poetry is never about one thing.

The photograph was taken at Olana, the home of Fredrick Church, a leading light of the Hudson RIver Artists
