Poem: More Than Enough

More Than Enough

The landscape at first appears empty,
some would say desolate,
but not to you. You see
light and space and
for you at least, that is more than enough.

About this poem

Poems take twisted paths sometimes. This began as a love poem, about how a smile from the woman I love makes me feel lighter. But I never quite got it right. So I played with it and came to a different truth, the gift of lightness and space to grow. Somehow its all related, I am sure.

The photograph was taken at Marconi Beach on Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
