Poem: A Little Gaudy

A Little Gaudy

They are a little gaudy. Bright.
That is part of their appeal.
Bright and a little imperfect.
That too is part of their appeal,
the reason they are your first choice
for your garden.

About this poem.

A poem for people who have been told they are “too much”. They are the people I am drawn to. There is a special magic in them.

Or a poem about sunflowers. Poetry is never about one thing.
