Poem: Death by a Thousand Cuts

Death by a Thousand Cuts

A leaf. A detail. A process
we too often ignore, where
one thing leads to another,
each vein feeding the next;
and the cutting of one, then another,
eventually,
kills.

About this poem

A poem about leaves and plants. About love and faith. About nations and politics. Poetry is never about one thing.
