Poem: Waiting as Action

Waiting as Action

For just a moment the light is perfect
and the greens are otherworldly.
Grass. Trees. A path between.

Just a moment. Like a kiss.
Like the seconds before sunset.
Wait, and it is gone.

But the opposite is true as well.
Wait for the light in the midst of darkness.
Wait for it and it willl come.

About this poem.

There’s a couple of different kinds of waiting. The waiting just because. And the waiting in expectation. For me, the waiting in expectation. They are two entirely different things and treat our souls differently.
