Poem: Brush Strokes

Brush Strokes

A scrap of paper. A stack of brushes.
Trial and error. Give it a go. Fail.
Fail again. It’s all an experiment,
a seeking for the thing you cannot explain,
only find.

About this poem.

A poem about art. About spiritual journeys. About love. A poem about nearly everything real and important. Poetry is never about one thing.

The photograph was taken in my studio in Middle Granville, NY. When I paint, I take scraps of paper or canvas and try out paint colors and brush strokes before I actually put them into the painting.

Be Well. Travel wisely,

Tom
