Matisse was Right

Matisse was right.
Creativity requires courage.

Matisse was right.
But only partially.

Pretty much everything today requires courage
except hiding, pretending and lies.

About this poem

I wasn’t going to write a second poem this morning. I was already at peace from the first one. Then I stumbled on this picture I forgot I had taken. And the poem lept out.

It can be like that sometimes.
