Poem: A Fire in April

A Fire in April

It is a bit cold. Almost Spring,
the weather a tease. Hot. Cold
as the darkness falls.

You light a fire. The heat, the light
a singular focus in the night.
Warming. Bright.

for as long as you choose to feed it.

About this poem

A poem about love (as opposed to a love poem). I seem to be a bit philosophical this morning.
