About these Pictures
Yesterday, I had a chance to climb through a rabbit’s warren of passages, steps and ladders to the bell tower at Rupert Methodist Church. What I found was a zen-like set of mechanicals that run the church clock and bell. Installed in 1884, they have not been used in years, yet, when we set them to working, everything worked perfectly. The clock ran. The bell rang. All a tribute to the craftsmen and, dare I say it, artists who created this beautiful marvel.

This is beautiful! My father was a clockmaker and I can appreciate the craftsmanship of the gears and mechanisms. Thanks for sharing this!
