Resilient Enough
The tulip reaches for the sun,
almost overgrown, overwhelmed,
lost in the garden tangle,
smothered and yet,
resilient enough.
About this poem
The picture was taken from the garden behind my house in Virginia. It was taken a dozen years or so ago. It is the only photograph that I have used multiple times on this blog.
I also use it as the “splash” picture on my web site. It is a reminder of the need to, and the power to persevere. I need that reminder a lot.
