Poem: The Value of Survival

ivy

The Value of Survival.

A spring of ivy punctuates the snow.
Green. Veiny. Stubborn.
Suddenly beautiful.
Lost in the summer,
surrounded by fair weather color,
but here in winter it becomes immortal
and you are reminded
of the value of survival.

About this poem

I love getting to know people, and learning their tales of survival. It makes them somehow, more precious. I’d like to think my own tales do the same for me.
