Poem: The Truest Part

light

The Truest Part

There are parts of you always in the dark,
shouting
“More light! More light”

It is that yearning,
not the dark itself,
that defines
your truest self.

About this poem.

Yes, I fight depression. But I refuse to let it define my life. It is the fighter, not the fight, that should be remembered.
