Poem: Memorial Day, 2021

All Because of Them

I live where I want.
I do what I want.
I travel where I want.
I worship where I want.
I read where I want.
I love who I want.
I hate who I want.
I write what I want.
I paint what I want.
I vote for who I want.
I rant when I want.
All because of them.

About this poem.

The meaning of the day too often gets lost in the picnics and holiday regalia.
