Savoring the Dusk
Late in the day. The sun slips behind the hills.
The light changes.
You are not ready for night.
It has been a day of beauty, of challenge.
The scars still ache. You still bleed.
You have entered again the cycle of healing,
a path you know well. Its landmarks are comfortable.
and you wish to savor the dusk.
About this poem
I am slowly healing from this last round of medical stuff. What a blessing to have suffered in the past and to understand the healing path, physically and emotionally and spiritually.
When people ask me if I would like to be young again, this is why I say no. Perspective is grace.
Be well. Travel wisely,
Tom
