Tale of the Poet
You are an imperfect historian,
mixing truth and fiction and
details that might have been
to tell a greater truth.
About this poem.
There’s a lot of truth in my poetry, but even so, I am an imperfect historian when I write. Often on purpose, changing and creating details to tell the story of emotion more than the story of things, or even, myself.
The picture was taken at the Hancock Shaker Village. I never tire of visiting that place.
