Poem: The Making of Things

The Making of Things.

It is about the how.
How they do what they do.
Their care and expertise,
The focus.
Tools and the time
spent learning, spent doing,
almost, for the best of them, worship,
all the small treasures we use without thinking,
made sacred.

About this poem.

I really do love watching people do the things they feel passion for. The Makers. Craftsmen. Artists. All of them. I find it no wonder that the word inspiration means “God Breathed”.

The picture is of a violin maker in Venice, Italy.

Off to work.
