Poem from an Old Protester.

Poem from an Old Protester.

Shovel a bit more coal in the stove
and let the fire burn into the night.
The work, it appears, is never done.

About this poem

I actually like seeing marches and other forms of non-violent protests. Bring em on, the bigger the better. Unfortunately, it has always taken protests and a willingness to stand up to move our country to better behavior. At times, it seems to be the only way our leaders got the message, going back to the turn of the 19th Century.

Why do we expect today to be any different?

Painting my sign,

Tom
