Poem: Summer Walk

Summer Walk

You have begun
late in the season.
The land is dry, the greenery golden,
one step away from dead,
waving in the wind like the lost
in need of love.

About this poem

About an actual walk I took on Cape Code last month. But also about people. Too many are starved for real, caring, love in their lives. And we see it in the damage.
