Poem: The Pause, part two

The Pause, part two

You breathe in the last of the garden flowers.
It is the cusp between seasons,
a battle of colors, living and dying.

You rest in the midst of it.
You allow God’s work to fill you.
You breathe it in, strength
for the work ahead

About this poem

This is the second part of my earlier poem this morning. Rest. Then rise and fight again.
