Poem: A Limited Repertoire

A Limited Repertoire

Love.
Betrayal.
Depression.
Abandonment.
And the daily battle
to reclamation,
redemption,
and restoration.
Faith,
Failure.
Forgiveness.
Layers
while searching for simplicity.
Peace.
The power of breath.
Beauty.
The day’s emotion.
Observation and blindness.
The need to empty
the soul.
Peace.
Fear.
Gratitude.
Uncertainty.
Grace.

It is a limited repertoire I write of,
a limited life,
not yet ready
to accept my limitations.

About this poem

Basically, these are the things I write of. A pretty limited lot. Maybe, someday, I will write enough to get it right, to settle these things in my own mind to my satisfaction. Till then, I write.

The picture was taken in Venice. It is one of my personal favorites.
