Poem: Dead Roses on the Table

Old Roses on the Table

A few days past their prime,
you leave them on the table,
their heads beginning to bow,
their petals beginning to brown.

Why would I throw them away
just because their beauty has changed
from one time to another. Why waste
what life remains?

About this poem

We throw things (and people) out too soon.
