Poem: In Need of Candles

In Need of Candles

You find yourself in need of candles.
In need of light. Of Romance.
In need of softening of light,
wax tapers to fill the candlesticks.

You tend to burn them at night,
less for illumination than a reminder
of your truer nature,
A thing not seen
in the bright light of now.

About this poem

At times I (Maybe we all) spend so much time and energy taking care of the stuff of the world, that the things of the heart become lost in the dark. Or it could be about candles and a romantic nature in a results oriented world.
