Poem: Unexpected Love

Unexpected Love

A simple day in the park,
A little walk, a chance to see the bright lights
turned into something else,
a roller coaster without end,
butterflies and stomach drops,
heads spinning, strangers in unison,
slowly up, wildly down,
round and round, never
quite certain what lies beyond the next curve
and after enough of them not even caring,
sure somehow you will end up
home.

About this poem

Love, like everything in life, is a journey. But Oh! What a journey!

The picture was taken at Six Flags, many years ago.
