Poem: Another Day Won

Another Day Won

You push it back. The darkness.
Taught once how to bring your own light,
it takes practice.

There are no shortages of times to practice.
To do the work.
Create the fire that pushes back the wolves

But you are not content with a candle. No.
Nothing less than a bonfire for you.
Love’s configuration.

sending the wolves packing
at least for today. Dance,
laughing. Another day won.

About this poem.

Just another day pushing back the darkness. Love helps.
