Poem: Careful Wishes

Careful Wishes

You have to be careful when you wish, particularly
if you wish more than once as you blow dandelions
to the four corners of the earth.

There are Gods in those corners.
Gods who listen. Who rearrange the universe
to bring dreams to completion,

never how you expect, or even what,
but just as certain, what you need
before you knew you needed it.

Benevolent
with a sense of humor.

About this poem

I am constantly surprised by my life.
