Poem: Details

Details

A bit. A patch. A detail.
Her smile. His eyes.
A perfect wrinkle.
That little bit of inlay in the old box,
the only thing intact perhaps.
Details that often tell more of the story
than the whole.

About this poem

I love photographing details of things, or paintings. Often it is the details in life we carry with us.

This is a detail of one of my paintings: Flute Music.
