Poem: Carrion Creatures

birds reimagined

Carrion Creatures

Overhead, the crows fly,
carrion creatures,
dark silhouettes against the sky,
not quite menacing,
but acutely aware
if just how alive you are or aren’t.

About this poem

There’s always someone waiting for us to fail, falter or fall.
