Poem: Not What It Seems

Not What It Seems

The thing is, they never left.
Their body lives, but something somewhere died
and you were left behind,
abandoned
while the body dances the jitterbug
next to you.

About this poem

The picture was taken in an architectural salvage place in Kennebunkport Maine.

Remembering,

Tom
