Poem: Never Straight

Never Straight

Arduous.
Winding. Wandering.
Circuitous.
The journey to clarity
is never straight,
never pure,
often involves becoming lost
before the finding
and somehow
never ends.

About this poem.

About most of the journeys we make in life: Love, faith, work, art. Poetry is never about one thing. Clarity is one of the hardest things.

The photograph was taken at a nearby state park.
